Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost to install a swimming pool?
This is a question we often get asked, and is dependent on a number of factors.
- What size and shape are you considering
- What type of fencing, pool surrounds and landscaping is required
- What type of equipment is required to effectively filter the water
- Are there any access restrictions or services that may need to be avoided or diverted
As you could imagine, quoting a price without actually inspecting the proposed site for a pool is impossible. There are too many factors that need to be considered to achieve the result you are looking for.
As a very general guide though, installing a swimming pool could cost you anywhere between $40,000 to $100,000
As always, if you would like us to offer to you our 100% FIXED PRICE PROPOSAL no hidden extras Guarantee, simply call us to arrange a Site Inspection where Grant can come out and discuss with you the best possible options to achieve your dream outdoors piece of paradise.

Usually these applications get approved without any conditions within 3-6 months.
Does having a swimming pool increase the value of my property?
This is a question that many unethical pool companies would just say ‘Yes’ because they know that is what you want to hear.
The truthful answer to this question is that ultimately a swimming pool is a lifestyle investment to your home. To people that value the lifestyle that a swimming pool provides then ‘Yes’ a swimming pool may well increase the value of your home.
However, it is also very important to consider the overall contribution a swimming pool adds to a property. It needs to be positioned correctly so that it works well with the overall design and style of the house and landscaping requirements.
I’m sure you’d agree, a pool that is just plonked in the middle of a yard with a fence around it suggests that not much planning went into creating a visually appealing investment.
When you choose Northern Rivers Pools, we work with you to create your dream outdoors piece of paradise that is not only practical and stylish, but also considered a positive investment for your lifestyle.
How long will it take to put a pool in my yard?
It’s entirely possible that you could be swimming in your brand new swimming pool within 6 weeks of placing your order. Of course this is dependent on external influences such as council approval or even inclement weather that we have no control over.
Here’s the thing…we know that once you’ve made the decision you’ll be pretty excited and itching to get your new pool in. Rest assured, we will do everything we possibly can to work within your desired timeframe.
Tell me why I should choose a fibreglass pool over a concrete pool?
Great question. For many years fibreglass pools used to be considered lesser than a concrete pool. But BOY! Haven’t things changed. A fibreglass pool offers so many more positives when compared to concrete pools.
The most obvious benefit is the speed of installation. With a fibreglass pool you can be swimming within 2 weeks of the ground being excavated. With a concrete pool this would be more like 2 months.
Other benefits include a smoother surface, meaning less grazes, scratches and swimming costume disasters, easier cleaning and maintenance due to non porous surface and overall less chemicals required saving you time, effort and money.
By choosing a Leisure Pool from Northern Rivers Pools you are also receiving the most comprehensive lifetime warranties offered in the industry, where concrete pools are generally only covered for 7 years and other fibreglass pool are usually covered for no more than 25 years.
Do you have any display pools or places we can view your range?

Aren’t all Swimming Pool Companies the same?
No. Sorry to be blunt but there’s no getting away from this. The old saying of “you get what you pay for” extends to the Swimming Pool Industry. I’m sorry to say, there are cowboys out there that have given us all a bad name at times.
Some companies will get you signed up for a cheap standard price then once you’re committed hit you with all the additional hidden costs that are disguised in cleverly designed contractual clauses.
Others will promote in clever marketing the virtues of Mineral Salt water sanitization and then tell you that to get maximum benefit you need to match it with some u-beaut whizz bang filtration system that will cost you much more than is realistically required.
You may even be sold a cheaper inferior non energy efficient pump and filtration system that can ultimately cost you many times the initial savings in long term energy costs.
And when it comes to warranties, some companies will only offer 7,10 or occasionally up to 35 years on the body shell of your pool. Wouldn’t you prefer the peace of mind of a LIFETIME STRUCTURAL WARRANTY AND LIFETIME STRUCTURAL OSMOSIS WARRANTY that only ‘Northern Rivers Pools’ can offer on behalf of the manufacturer Leisure Pools?
